When we arrive, we meet not only Magnus, but also a brand-new Eco Log 560G. At the moment, Magnus is performing a final felling on behalf of Holmen in their own forest. <\/p>\n\n
–Yes, I work with both final felling and thinning and I enjoy both equally. Variation is good, Magnus explains. <\/em><\/p>\n\n As we take a closer look at his new machine, we immediately notice a pipe attached to the hood on the machine, and of course, have to ask what it is.<\/p>\n\n –It is a drainpipe that I put there to store spare hoses. I don\u00b4t have a hut to store equipment in, so I tried this and it has worked really well, says Magnus. <\/em><\/p>\n\n Somewhat of an invention of his own, so we ask if he plans to share the idea with Eco Log\u2019s Development Department – or perhaps apply for a patent.<\/p>\n\n -No, I think I can share that tip for free, Magnus says laughing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n Magnus has been operating forest machines since 1988 and running his own company since 2002. He enjoys working in the forest and is now on his fifth machine from Eco Log.<\/p>\n\n –They simply work well. It is everything combined \u2013 the machines work well and the service is great. I\u00b4m simply satisfied, Magnus says. <\/em><\/p>\n\n We talk to Magnus about what a day in the machine looks like, and he tells us that he listens a lot to the radio and to audiobooks. One of the things that he thinks has improved with the G series cabin is the sound system and the interior lightning. <\/p>\n\n – It is a lot better. For example if you need to read a paper. Also, the cabin is much quieter, and it feels cozier than the previous cabin, Magnus explains. <\/em><\/p>\n\n Before we leave Magnus we take the opportunity to ask him three quick questions to learn a little bit more about who he is.<\/p>\n\n Snowmobile or skiing?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n – Skiing<\/p>\n\n Hunting or fishing?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n Fishing. I fish quite a lot and then I cook the fish that I catch. I think you should eat everything that you catch. <\/p>\n\n Bryn\u00e4s or Skellefte\u00e5? (Swedish Hockey Teams<\/strong><\/p>\n\n – That is kind of a stupid question since I live where I do.
