GROUND PRESSURE
Low ground pressure regardless of terrain
Eco Log harvesters in the 500 series produce reduced ground pressure and minimal impact on nature and the environment. In sensitive terrain, the pendulum arms are used to lower the harvester, thereby evenly distributing the machine’s weight so as to create low ground pressure and minimize wheel rutting. Similarly, the machine can be lowered to back away from areas with unstable and soft ground conditions. This reduces the risk of getting stuck and unnecessarily damaging the forest and the forest floor.
- The pendulum arms can be used to reduce and optimize the ground pressure produced by each individual wheel.
- If the harvester should get stuck, the pendulum arms can be used to stabilize the underlying forest floor by lifting them one at a time so that brushwood and planks can be placed under the machine.
