Harvester head EC 461 LF

The rapid feed, high performance and versatile design make the Eco Log 461 LF the obvious choice for all types of thinning. The harvester head, which can get to even the most hard-to-reach areas, easily handles dense initial thinning thanks to its low weight and compact dimensions. At the same time, the patented LogHold solution and the proportionally angled feed rollers provide the best possible gripping in large-diameter stands.

The Eco Log 461 LF has been designed according to the low-friction concept (LF), which guarantees maximum production and profitability thanks to minimum friction, optimum energy consumption and low maintenance costs. Experience an impressive combination of high performance and flexibility with the Eco Log 461 LF, a small harvester head with a large capacity.

All of Eco Log´s harvester heads have been equipped with Eco Log Saw Control, a patented system that ensures a maximum performance from both machine and harvester head in every cut.

Eco Log Saw Control

Maximizes productivity in every cut

All of Eco Log´s harvester heads have been equipped with Eco Log Saw Control, a patented system that ensures a maximum performance from both machine and harvester head in every cut. The system continuously adapts the guide bar feed, and as a result each cut is optimized irrespective of tree species, stem diameter, chain sharpness or how much power the machine is providing.

A link between the machine and the harvester head ensures that every cut is performed with as high efficiency as possible, where the system continuously optimizes the values regarding to external conditions without the operator needing to change any basic settings manually. It makes no difference if the harvester head is used in mixed forest, in final felling or if you process a spruce with your first cut immediately followed by a birch. Eco Log Saw Control ensures that your felling is fast, smooth and efficient at all times.

Eco Log Saw Control

  • The harvester head continuously adapts to current conditions and delivers guide bar pressure and guide bar feed irrespective of tree species.
  • Links the saw and machine for optimal performance and efficiency from both harvester head and harvester.
  • Minimizing the risk of cutting cracks and generates time savings and efficiency thanks to high cutting speed.
Productivity

Increase your productivity with Eco Log harvesters

Eco Log harvesters in the 500 series have all been designed and constructed to enable you, our customers, to make the most of your forest machine. With superior ground clearance, high mobility in all types of terrain, and optimal servicing conditions, Eco Log harvesters stand out in terms of both productivity and efficiency.

All parts and components are carefully selected to ensure reliable, high-performance machines that can handle the many and varied tasks of modern forestry. The pendulum arms on the harvesters ensure that the crane and the cab are level at all times, enabling the machine to work with high efficiency and power even in difficult terrain and on steep slopes.

  • Eco Log harvesters gives its operator full control in any situation as the machine adapts to the terrain due to the pendulum arms. By raising, lowering, or tilting the machine by means of the pendulum arms, the harvester can easily navigate all types
    of terrain.
  • The harvesters are equipped with engines from Volvo Penta, characterized by their low fuel consumption, responsiveness, and long service interval.
  • Servicing is quick and convenient thanks to the all parts of the harvester being easily accessible and the ability to lower the machine to the optimum working height.
  • The crane and the harvester head are easily lifted and operated with high torque and efficiency even at long reaches and in difficult terrain. This is a major advantage, for example, when thinning or harvesting logging residue.
  • Optimized interaction between the hydraulic system and the diesel engine means that the machine always works at high capacity and with great efficiency.
